All PIAB laboratory pumps can easily be equipped with the PIAB energy saving Vacustat. The Vacustat's operation is to set the desired vacuum level. When the desired vacuum level is reached, the pump automatically disconnects. When the pump shuts off. a built in non-return valve seals the vacuum system.

The Vacustat is a pressure monitor. lts function in a vacuum system is similar to that of a thermostat in a heating-system. as it shuts off the vacuum pump when the required level has been reached. When or if the vacuum level falls below the set value, the Vacustat reactivates the vacuum pump.
